Aloha From Peter Baldwin...May, 2009 |

Aloha everyone. What a great $10 jackpot we had at the end of March. In fact, it was so much fun and the response was so enthusiastic that Piiholo Ranch and Rope Maui are going to host at least two more $10 per man jackpots this year. The next one will be a nice warm-up roping to get ready for the Makawao 4th of July Rodeo. It is going to be held on Saturday, June 27th. Then in the fall, we'll have another one on Saturday, September 12th. We're expecting over 300 teams at each one so make sure you're there. See our event calendar for more details.
On April 11th, Piiholo Ranch played host to a Rope Maui event that was another great day of team roping for those ropers who came out and participated. Congratulations to Bronson Branco of the Big Island. Bronson was the high money winner and also took home our top prize, a Rope Maui Martin Saddle. A "Good Job" also has to be extended to Gilbert Souza and Herman Louie DeCoite. These two ropers won the #8 and brought home beautiful Rope Maui Breast Collars for their hard work. Visit our pictures gallery for some nice shots of this event. A big thank you always needs to go out to everyone who helped put our March and April events on. As always the ladies in the office did their usual outstanding job. With a special thank you to our announcer, Mona Lisa. She kept everyone moving perfectly. Thank you also to the Hawaii High School Rodeo gang for your delicious food and for your help on the chute and at the catch pen. And to Dick and Julie Foreman who are back in Oklahoma, great job guys. Don't forget our three big fall events. Hold the dates of September 12, for our $10 Jackpot, September 19, and 20 for the annual Piiholo Ranch Classic and November 27, 28 and 29, for our annual USTRC Maui Classic. See you all in June. Aloha, Peter |
